May 30 - Gala World Premiere of "Swanzey Rural Character" Monadnock Regional High School, 4 and 7 pm.  They guys star in the movie.

May 31 - Eleventh birthday party at the Potash Bowl, Swanzey Center 1:00 to 3:00

July 17-19 - The Old Homestead, Potash Bowl, Swanzey Center

July 19 - Old Home Day Parade, Swanzey Center

September 13 - Monadnock Humane Society Walk for Animals

October 3 - Monadnock Regional High School Homecoming festival and parade

"You bet, Ike!  We  made a lot of public appearances this year to be ambassadors of open space protection."

"I thought we just showed up to have fun."

"Well, we did.  But by having fun, we get people involved in preserving open space."

"How does that work?"

"Well, we're always accompanied by folks from the Open Space Committee, who have information and can just talk about keeping Swanzey's fields and forests available for large dritters like us."

"So we do good work just by having fun?"

"That's been the idea ever since we were adopted as ambassadors."

"Why can't everybody else be like us?"

"Because they're not oxen."
