"I had a lot of fun over Christmas when I got a call from two very young people who wanted to talk to me.  We talked about what it was like to be an ox, to live in a field, to eat hay, grain and donuts, to pull logs out of the woods.  What I do when it rains or snows.  A lot of subjects about which I happen to be an expert!

"So we've talked about it, and we now offer Buck's Outcall Service, which means that if you want to talk to me, Buck, and are as old as me (almost 10) or younger and live anywhere in the US, your mom or dad can call 603-357-4736 and set up a time when I can call you and we can talk. You can't call me because out in my field I'm just not always near a telephone, and my hoofs are too big for me to use a cell phone, so I don't have one of my own.

"I might call you on your birthday, or some special occasion, or just to chat.

"It doesn't cost anything, but as always, Ike and I would appreciate any tax-deductible donation your mom or dad might want to make to our Bale Out Buck and Ike fund.  After all, we're hungry guys! But no donation is required for us to have a chin-wag, as they say in Scotland.
